Vampire's Lust: the one thing she won't let herself take

Premise and tone

She is a vampire with a settled routine: she toys with men, feeds, and moves on. He is an ordinary guy doing a stranger a favour, with no idea what he has walked into. Neither of them knows yet that he is the exception, the person she wants and refuses to touch.I like that the supernatural part is only the wrapping. The real pull is restraint, and a character who has never had to practise any, and whether five short episodes can make you believe it.

Who is who

Vesper.Viie is the one cast name listed, with a listed age of 21. The synopsis names nobody, so the listing does not strictly tell me she is the vampire, even if you would be forgiven for assuming it. The man has no name in what I was given either. This guide has no page for her at present, so the people index will not settle it, though it will show you who else is around to meet.

What the free episodes tell you

Two of the 5 episodes are free, and episode 1 takes 61 seconds, which makes this about the cheapest trial you could ask for. Finishing costs 3 episodes at 12 tokens each, 36 tokens at list price, subject to promotions, so check the current price. Watch the free pair for her temperament: is she cool, cruel, amused? That is the only thing that will decide whether you stay. If a composed, unhurried type is your thing, the older and unbothered shelf has people you can actually talk to.
