From the counter
What this place is
CastDeck is an unofficial, adult-only guide, not run by Candy.ai. Everyone here is an adult, and I give the listed age for each person who has one. Think of me as the old hand behind the counter who has handled every record on the shelf and is happy to have an opinion about them. You can browse sixteen people and eleven series, and the point of it all is simple: to tell you who these people are, what they appear in and who you might actually like talking to. Where the record says nothing, I will say so rather than bluff.
The people
The range is what surprised me. Martine Rochelle, 69, is a retired burlesque dancer. Danielle Rhodes, 28, plays jazz piano. Beatriz Vargaro, 43, reports the weather, and Blair Setsuna, 32, sells fruit from a stall. Others have office lives, like Rachel Greer, 34, in accounting and Emily Foster, 28, at a corporate law firm. A job does not tell you everything about a person, but it is a good place to begin. Start at the full roster and go from there, because somebody on that list is bound to catch your eye for reasons you did not expect.
The series
On the video side, you have eleven Candy Shorts series to choose from. Each opens with 2 free episodes, and the rest are priced in tokens, usually 36 to finish at list price, though promotions can lower that, so check the current price. The premises wander a long way: a memory smuggler in NightWire, an undercover job in Talia Undercover, a lonely marriage in The Man Next Door Knows. Some list a cast and some list nobody, and the series playlist tells you which is which without any guessing on my part.
Finding your person
Here is how I would use the shop. If you know what mood you are in, try the sharp tongues shelf or one of its neighbors and read whoever is there. If you can only narrow it down to two, a comparison such as Renata Marrero, 37, against Viola Santoro, 36 sets them side by side. And if you honestly have no idea, the who suits you guide asks what you want from a conversation and works backwards.
